Theta Chi Fraternity is accepting applications for the Leadership and Education Consultant position openings for spring 2007 and the 2007-2008 academic year.  This is a tremendous opportunity to lend the Helping Hand to thousands of your fellow brothers.

Position Title:               Leadership and Education Consultant

 

Number of Openings:   Multiple

 

Desired start dates:   a) One anticipated opening, desired start date January 3, 2007

                                    b) Multiple anticipated openings, desired start date June 15, 2007

 

Length of Position:      One-year term (usually June through May), with reappointment possible

 

General Overview

Theta Chi Fraternity employs up to seven Leadership and Education Consultants.  These individuals travel during the academic year visiting 30+ chapters in a particular geographic region, assisting undergraduate members and alumni with all levels of chapter operations, leadership skills, and organizational motivation.  The Fraternity provides a staff training program prior to travel, which includes interfraternal networking, educational conferences, and explanation of Theta Chi policies and procedures.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Visit chapters, colonies, and interest groups of the Fraternity and conduct appropriate evaluations and reports
  • Present educational workshops to undergraduates and alumni on topics of recruitment, new member education, leadership development, financial issues, and risk management at the local, regional, and national level
  • If assigned to an expansion role, develop interest groups and colonies at a particular campus
  • Assist in a wide variety of administrative duties for the Fraternity, including leadership events, publications, website development, and special projects

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors degree required (all majors considered)
  • Desire to improve the Fraternity while advancing personal skills
  • Must be punctual, with excellent time management ability
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work both autonomously and in a group setting
  • Willingness to travel extensively

Compensation

Base salary, expense allowance, paid vacation, and medical, dental and vision insurance provided.  Furnished apartment in Indianapolis provided during summer training, holiday breaks, and at the end of the academic term in May.
