Please contact the Editor at foundation@thetachi.org with your photo ideas, or call the office at 317-824-1881. The two best formats for photos to send are (1) a print from 35MM film or (2) high resolution digital images that are provided on a CD; do not send prints from original digital images.
Color or black and white photos are fine, but don't send special feature digitals. Unless you specify otherwise, no photos will be returned to you. It is possible that any print may be damaged during the production process; we will assume no liablity for the safekeeping of any image you submit. It is assumed that anyone in a photo is granting permission for that photo to be used in a subsequent issue of The Rattle.
A general guideline about use of any digital images sent via email is that at best, they can only be printed as a small image; they can't be blown up for publication because they aren't 'dense' enough...ie, low pixilation, because of the email method of transmission. NEVER write anything on the back of a 35mm print; send text as an emailed Word document and enclose a hard print copy with the photo. Include first and last names of people in the photo, organized in a way that can be understood. Include the undergraduate chapter of members of Theta Chi, and their undergraduate graduation year if known.
Do not attach anything to the photo by a paper clip or staple, by the way! Use the link above to provide digital images via email, and be certain to provide details as discussed. |
