Norwich Housing Corporation
The Norwich Housing Corporation, formerly the National Board of Trustees, was formed in 1927 to receive, hold, invest and conserve the National Endowment Fund of Theta Chi Fraternity. The National Endowment Fund was started to assist our chapters by making loans available to chapters with house corporations for the purchase or repair of chapter houses.
MISSION STATEMENT
"...the Corporation shall seek, through the prudent deployment of its assets, to facilitate the ownership and improvement of housing for active chapters of Theta Chi Fraternity, to promote the education and involvement of local alumnus members in advising and assisting active chapters in their operations, and to produce income, thereby advancing the Fraternal experience..."
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Norwich Housing Corporation is the main financial institution for Theta Chi Fraternity. The Corporations main responsibilities include:
The lending of funds to established and recognized Theta Chi Fraternity corporations for the purpose of building and remodeling houses, providing a safe and secure housing and supplying emergency funds at the boards' discretion
To promote education in involvement of local alumnus members in advising and assisting active chapters in their operations.
THE NORWICH HOUSING CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board consists of five alumnus members of the Fraternity. The term of office is five years, and members can be reelected for a second consecutive five year term. Members of The Norwich Housing Corporation are volunteers.
