1. Members will pay a $25 fee (of which counts toward the standard $60 per member fee) within the first week of joining the Colony/Interest Group to receive their educational materials (The Manual of Theta Chi, New Member Workbook, Colony and Interest Group Manual) and the New Member Button.
2. Members will obtain a grade point average equal to or higher than the campus all-male grade point average.
3. Members will complete at least 10 hours of community service per semester.
4. Members will be actively involved in at least one other organization on campus.
5. The group will send in monthly report forms documenting their activities and progress by facsimile, mail, or e-mail to expansion@thetachi.org. The group will also send in monthly roster, officer, and Colony Advisory Board updates that will include phone numbers, addresses, and e-mail addresses.
6. The group will establish and maintain an e-mail list serve for all Colony Advisory Board and undergraduate members.
7. At least five members of the group will attend the Chapter Leadership Conference or School of Fraternity Practices/Convention during the summer.
8. At least 50% of the group will attend a Mid-Year Leadership Challenge being held at a location near the colony in November or February of each year (month is depending on location of the school).
9. At least one member of the group will attend the Deranian President?s Conference to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana in January of each year.
10. To be colonized, the group must have at least 25 members, written by-laws, be registered (per campus/IFC guidelines) as a student organization, and pay remaining $35 per man (or $60 if they have not already paid the preliminary $25) to the International Headquarters one month in advance of the Colonization ceremony.
11. Any current or future Fraternity housing will be alcohol free.
