FLOYD W. FIELD AWARD

The Floyd W. Field Award for Outstanding Greek Affairs Professional was commissioned by the Grand Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity to honor outstanding Greek affairs professionals for commitment to and support of the ideals of Greek student life.

Brother Field exemplified our motto of The Helping Hand by reaching out to students in all areas, by creating the first representative Student Government and establishing the first Dean of Men position at Georgia Tech.  His outstanding character and determination to address student needs serve as an example to all.

The Floyd W. Field Award is a nomination process.  This means that the application should be completed by someone other than the nominee.  The nomination form is fairly brief and letters of recommendation, as well as supporting materials, may be attached as needed.  This is an opportunity for chapters, colonies, and interest groups to nominate an outstanding Greek advisor, dean of students, chapter/colony advisor, or university faculty/staff member who has offered extraordinary efforts toward the enhancement of the Greek movement.

Nominees need not be members of a Greek organization and may be male or female.  Any individual meeting the qualifications outlined on the following pages may be nominated.
