The chapter’s philanthropy/community service program should exemplify our motto of “An Assisting Hand”. The program should contain a general philosophy of the chapter toward philanthropic and community service, a list of organizations/individuals assisted through the process, the number of members and other groups that participated, total hours worked and total dollar amount contributed. The program should also contain a number of hands-on service learning projects, as well as media coverage and/or any other correspondence involved with the efforts.

Philanthropy is defined as an activity done to raise money or donate funds to an non-profit organization.

Community Service is defined as something made or done by an organization for the public benefit and without regard to direct profit.
