Evan Patterson (Alpha Delta/Purdue 2024) earned the prestigious title of Resolute Man following his participation in the Capitol Hill Experience Track in the heart of Washington D.C. This immersive program, hosted by current Foundation Chapter Director and former U.S. Congressman Dennis Cardoza (Alpha Psi/Maryland 1981), has left an indelible mark on Patterson's journey.

This fall marked the start of Patterson's full-time role as a staff assistant at the U.S. House of Representatives, serving under the guidance of Congressman Jim Baird, representing Indiana's 4th District (IN-04). In this pivotal role, Patterson orchestrates staff meetings, briefings, hearings, and crucial votes attended by the Congressman. Furthermore, he adeptly manages the intricate operations of the office and takes charge of the office's dynamic intern program. It is worth noting that Patterson is successfully juggling his senior year coursework at Purdue University, seamlessly transitioning to an online learning format while dedicating himself to his full-time responsibilities.

Reflecting on his transformative journey, Patterson shared, "The Resolute Man Experience not only reinforced my passion for public service but also unlocked the doors necessary to pursue my career aspirations. I am profoundly thankful for the unwavering support network of Theta Chi's in D.C., who have extended their Assisting Hands to the next generation. To any fellow brother harboring ambitions in the realm of public service, law, or advocacy, I wholeheartedly endorse applying for the Capitol Hill Resolute Man Experience."

In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Brother Patterson. His commitment to the ethos of Theta Chi and his dedication to making a positive impact in the world exemplify the true spirit of the Assisting Hand.
