164th Anniversary Convention and 39th School of Fraternity Practices

July 17, 2020 : 4:00pm - July 21, 2020 - 11:00am

164th Anniversary Convention and 39th School of Fraternity Practices

Dear Brothers:

Convention is still on as scheduled in Lexington, KY on July 17-21, 2020, and we are continuing to plan a Theta Chi event for the history books. It is recommended that all brothers attending Convention register as soon as possible. It is also recommended that attendees refrain from booking airfare until June 1.

The Fraternity recognizes that the current realities of our world will likely require us to make certain adaptations and we are prepared to do so. We are asking for your flexibility and patience as we adjust and work through these modifications together. We will have an outstanding event while maintaining our commitment to promoting our Sacred Purpose.

If government regulations prohibit gatherings in Lexington, or if other outside factors make the holding of an in-person event impossible, the Convention will be held online in a remote format during those same Convention dates (July 17-21). On or before June 1, the Fraternity will make a definitive announcement as to whether the Convention will be held in Lexington or online.

As we work through this unique situation, we will prepare a Frequently Asked Questions document to help answer questions that you may have. We plan to post this FAQ in the weeks ahead.

Thank you for your patience and understanding – we look forward to seeing you at Convention!

Registration for the 2020 Convention is now open! To register - log into your myThetaChi account and navigate to Events on the left. From there, click on "164th Anniversary Convention and 39th School of Fraternity Practices" to begin the registration process.

In July 2020, over 500 members will gather at the Hyatt Regency Downtown in Lexington, Kentucky, to celebrate the brotherhood of Theta Chi Fraternity and all of our accomplishments! The Horse Capital of the World will provide a backdrop with plenty of local activities in conjunction with Theta Chi Fraternity business and educational programming.

The International Convention is Theta Chi's largest and most important gathering of collegians and alumni. The School of Fraternity Practices (SFP) is a leadership and chapter operations school held in conjunction with the International Convention. The SFP is a series of small group discussions and keynote presentations from prominent Theta Chi alumni and other Greek life speakers.
