INSPIRE: 168th Anniversary Convention & 41st School of Fraternity Practices
Mark your calendars now!
From August 2-6, 2024, Theta Chi Fraternity members will gather at the New Orleans Marriott Canal Street to celebrate the brotherhood and all of our accomplishments. Our location in New Orleans will provide the perfect backdrop and ample opportunities to share in the brotherhood of the Fraternity, along with Theta Chi Fraternity business and educational programming.
The International Convention is Theta Chi's most important gathering of collegians and alumni. Although the primary function of Convention is to conduct official Fraternity business, it is also a time for alumni and collegians to reunite, network, and celebrate.
The School of Fraternity Practices (SFP) is a leadership and chapter operations school held in conjunction with the International Convention. The SFP is a series of small group discussions and keynote presentations from prominent Theta Chi alumni and other Greek life speakers. The curriculum at SFP is thorough and covers a wide array of topics related to leadership, operations, and recruitment.

Alumni Luncheon at the National WWII Museum
All alumni attending Convention are welcome to attend the alumni luncheon on Sunday, August 4, at the Stage Door Canteen* located in the National WWII Museum where we will honor brothers for their service to Theta Chi. Special Theta Chi WWII artifacts brought from the Theta Chi archives will be on display. Following the luncheon celebration, attendees will be given the opportunity to enjoy their afternoon touring the entire museum.
*The venue is a 1940’s era backdrop reminiscent of the original Stage Door Canteen in New York’s Broadway District which offered servicemen nights of dancing, entertainment, food, drinks, and even opportunities to hobnob with celebrities during WWII.
Final Night Celebration at Mardi Gras World
On the evening of Monday, August 5, all Convention attendees will be transported to Mardi Gras World for our final night of celebrating Theta Chi in New Orleans. At this event, brothers and special guests will get a peek under the veiled curtain of CARNIVAL. The venue is a working warehouse where secret themes are conceived and huge floats are designed, constructed, and artfully decorated. Attendees will get an up-close look at a myriad of colorful Mardi Gras floats that will serve as a backdrop to an exciting night of food, fun, and local entertainment.
