The Foundation Chapter has awarded over $275,000 to 148 Theta Chi undergraduate and graduate students. Award amounts ranged between $1,000 to $7,000 to assist with tuition for the 2012/2013 academic year.

Over 360 applications were submitted this year, more than twice as many as last year. The Foundation Chapter credits the spike in applicants to its new online application system, which made it easier than ever for brothers to apply.

About The Foundation Chapter's academic scholarship program

The Sherwood and Janet Roberts Blue Memorial Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate scholastic aptitude and financial need. Brother Blue (Alpha Iota/Indiana 1926), whose generous support of Theta Chis during his lifetime made this scholarship possible, was the founder and first president of The Foundation Chapter.

The Victor Simon Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Theta Chi brothers who are engineering majors.

A committee appointed by The Foundation Chapter reviews the applications and selects recipients for both scholarships.
