Chris Putton (Beta Iota/Arizona 2014), took up the game of football when he moved to Arizona at the age of eight. He tried other sports, but ultimately went back to football, playing in the Pop Warner league at the age of 12 and has played football since.

Now in his junior year at the University of Arizona, Putton is an offensive lineman for the Wildcats and recently participated in his third bowl game, the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. “I never expected that I would go to three bowl games in four years,” said Putton. “Although I had been to two bowl games before, I was young and the team did not rely on me. This year was different. I had to prepare mentally to execute every play correctly,” he said.

The Wildcats successfully took on the University of Nevada–Reno on Dec.15, 2012. “It was amazing to win the bowl game” said Putton. “The excitement at the end of the game was unbelievable. I am so proud that I was a part of that win!"
