Alpha Phi has made a big push to brighten the lives of some Tuscaloosa residents this holiday season. In late November Alpha Phi held a canned food drive at the fraternity house. The brothers collected and donated 517 canned goods to the West Alabama Food Bank.

On Dec. 4, 2012, Theta Chi and Phi Mu sorority worked together on a fundraising event benefiting Tuscaloosa's One Place, a local program that helps over 8,000 individuals in Tuscaloosa County. The chapters raised $870 dollars just in time for the holidays.  When the donation was presented to Emerald Autrey, Tuscaloosa's One Place Volunteer Coordinator and Intake Coordinator, she informed them that a donation had fallen through that was going to feed 25 families this holiday season, making Theta Chi's contribution that much more valuable.
