Dennis Demoss (Beta Omicron/Cincinnati 1977) became the fifth recipient of the Herman Schneider Distinguished Alumnus Award for "his contributions to the field of nuclear engineering."

Brother Demoss is currently serving as Vice President and Project Director for Sargent & Lundy LLC, one of the energy industry's most well-established consulting, engineering and analysis firms. He has more than 30 years experience in mechanical engineering and nuclear power plant design and has been a project director at Sarget & Lundy since 1998. Brother Demoss is a licensed professional engineer in eight states.

Named in honor of former University President Herman Schneider, the Distinguished Alumnus Award is presented by the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science. Scheider, a former dean of the college, is remembered best for establishing the nation's first co-op program in 1902.

Brother Demoss' accomplishment is especially exciting as Theta Chi prepares to recolonize Beta Omicron Chapter on Saturday, June 2. Beta Omicron has been inactive since 2005. For more details, contact Director of Expansion JD Ford.
