Robby McVie (Gamma Rho/Florida State 2013) has been elected president of the Seminole Student Boosters, which raises money for FSU’s athletics scholarship program.

Brother McVie originally joined the Boosters in 2011 and the following year was named Director of Recruitment. Under his leadership, membership grew to 10,000 – a record high. Other responsibilities included organizing recruitment sessions at Freshman Orientation.

Now, as president, McVie is responsible for increasing membership, increasing student attendance at Seminole Athletics events, and connecting students with the student-athletes and coaches. He also sits on the Seminole Boosters, Inc., board of directors and heads the development of FSU’s TRUE (Tradition, Respect, Unity, Excellence) Seminole Campaign, a scholarship endowment fund for student-athletes.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to serve as President of Seminole Student Boosters and represent Theta Chi in such a prominent position on campus,” he added.
