Celebrate Founders Day 2019 in Norwich, VT!

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, the twelfth annual Theta Chi Fraternity Founders Day at Norwich University will take place in Northfield, VT, near the former site of the Old South Barracks of Norwich University (Norwich, VT) and at the Hotel Coolidge (White River Junction, VT).

Founders Day activities will begin with lunch at Norwich University (Northfield, VT) at noon (lunch is $9.00; you may purchase your ticket at the door, but please RSVP by April 4 to ensure an accurate count for Norwich). Following lunch will be a Theta Chi VIP visit to the Sullivan Museum and History Center. Following the museum visit, there will be a guided tour of the campus and a “Cook’s Tour” of the former Fraternity house sites. The evening program will begin at 6 p.m. at St. Barnabas Church in Norwich, VT, where a re-enactment of the founding of the Theta Chi Society will be presented by our brothers from Theta/Massachusetts. 

The Founder’s Day Dinner held at the Hotel Coolidge will begin with registration and social time at 7 p.m. with dinner following at 7:45 p.m. Founders Day will include an opportunity to meet Ms. Barbara Sibun, the great-great granddaughter of Arthur Chase. Dinner will be followed by a special program including Theta Chi Fraternity songs and a 163rd Anniversary birthday cake and ice cream social.

The cost for the evening program and dinner is only $48.00 per person and includes tax and tip for the dinner, a door prize, the ice cream and cake social as well as a special souvenir gift. A special Theta Chi room discount is available to those brothers requiring lodging. Please make your room reservations directly with the Hotel Coolidge at 1-800-622-1124 or at 802-295-3118. You may pay for your dinner at the door, but reservations are required no later than April 4, 2019.
