Beta Iota held its first ‘Cut the Chi’ philanthropy event to benefit Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research. The brothers put their hair styles up for grabs in a three-day silent auction. Participants could bid on the rights to style a brother's hair in a manner of their choosing, which the brother then had to keep for at least 48 hours.
Altogether, the event raised $2,700 thanks to strong support from the members of the Arizona Greek community. The chapter hopes to make this an annual event.
