2003 Colley Award winner Zach Edwards, Theta Kappa/Texas Tech 2005, was recently nominated to the annual list as one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Business Professionals. Edwards was selected for the list from 242 candidates. The honorees will be featured in the May 30th issue of the Dallas Business Journal.

Edwards, who currently holds the position of Senior Associate at Gensler Dallas has served the company as a Project Manager and Architect. He currently serves as a member of the company’s Project Manager Steering Committee, and lead this year’s Industry Leader PM Roundtable. Edwards is also the Client Relationship NextGen initiative leader, and serves on the regional Client Relationship Steering Committee. Within the Commercial Office Building practice area, Edwards is the South Central Regional leader for the firm-wide Practice Area research initiative.

Outside of Gensler, Edwards is an active volunteer. He was one of 25 young professionals to comprise the 2009-10 Associate Leadership Council of The Real Estate Council. Prior to his selection he was a member of TREC’s Young Guns, a group of 35 and under commercial real estate professionals. He also volunteered at W.T. White High School to educate engineering and architecture students on the latest in building information technology, and works with the faculty at the school to develop curriculum.

Edwards also volunteers during the holidays at Dallas’ Soup Kitchen, The Stewpot, and at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine, TX and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. In addition, he is a member of The Door Church in Coppell, TX, TREC and Hearts and Hammers, a non-profit organization that refurbishes homes. Edwards is also a member of his Theta Chi Alumni Board and helps to organize various events throughout the year to support national and local fraternity efforts.
