Dave Conner honored with
Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award

Carmel, IN – The Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award, presented by the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA), recognizes individuals who exhibit outstanding achievements in service to AFA, service beyond their campus/organization, development, research, and/or service to the college and fraternity/sorority communities. For 2018, five individuals will be honored, including Dave Conner (Alpha Xi/Delaware 2003).

The Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at The College of New Jersey (Ewing Township, NJ), Conner has facilitated 378% growth of the fraternity/sorority community over nine years as the sole professional adviser, advocate, and resource to more than 1,800 students involved in 32 fraternities and sororities.

He has been an active volunteer in AFA and Northeast Greek Leadership Association, and he helped support the formation of a Local Greek Leadership Conference for the mid-Atlantic region to better support the myriad of local organizations in the northeast. Dave also has a passion for technology and sharing best practices with others to streamline communications and engagement.

Dave will be presented with his award during the AFA Annual Meeting on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Theta Chi Fraternity congratulates Brother Conner on this tremendous recognition.

Founded in 1856, Theta Chi Fraternity is a men’s collegiate fraternity with more than 191,000 initiated members and has established 239 chapters. Leadership development, personal development, and service to alma mater are fundamental to Theta Chi Fraternity’s mission.
