More than 200 guests filled Cohen Auditorium on the Tufts University Campus March 6, 2015, as eight dance teams competed for the title of “Tufts Best Dance Crew.”
Brothers Bobby Li (2017) and Charlie Colley (2016) were the MCs for the event. Dance groups included Middle Eastern belly dancing, two South Asian dance groups, Tufts Ballroom Dancing, Tufts La Salsa, fusion group Sarabande, and Spirit of Color, which is also a fusion group. An exhibition dance was performed by a pair from Harvard ballet, and the winners of the contest, voted on by the audience, were Tufts Bhangra. a group performing traditional Bhangra dances from India.
The annual charity event, hosted by Theta Chi’s Epsilon Theta chapter, raised more than $2,000 for Bridge Over Troubled Waters, an organization that helps the homeless youth in the Boston area.
