On March 2, 2024, 17 men at Babson College were officially pledged to Theta Chi and the Eta Delta Colony was formed with the goal of reinstalling Eta Delta Chapter. The Installing Officer was Past International President Creig Andreasen.
Eta Delta's recolonization story is one of persistence, pride, and a reimagined vision of fraternity life and it lends itself well to their reinstallation story. What began with a single interest form quickly evolved into a 40-man colony fueled by shared ambition and an unshakable sense of purpose. From day one, the men of Eta Delta faced skepticism, setbacks, and even outright opposition — but rather than fold, they forged ahead. Without an official house, they created one through shared experiences: cooking at Alex Kozin’s, barbecuing at Will Freudenheim’s, skiing in Killington at Cooper Munson’s, and celebrating New Year’s at Coleman Hayes’ home. Brotherhood wasn’t built around geography, it was built through resilience, memory, and mutual support.
The colony embraced service as a cornerstone of their mission, volunteering weekly at the Boston Food Pantry, helping to feed more than 4,200 families and partnering with alumni to serve at Rosie’s Place, the nation’s oldest women’s shelter. Even before regaining their charter, they revived the Back to Babson Bone Marrow Drive, a decade-old tradition launched by the brothers that came before them. Simultaneously, they prioritized professional growth, hosting investment banking workshops, networking with alumni, and supporting other Greek organizations in their philanthropic endeavors. Their entrepreneurial drive was just as impressive: members launched companies ranging from AI-powered social media tools to private fitness coaching, moving services, and a Korean food truck business.

"Working with the men of Eta Delta was a pleasure. The group jumped into the Babson community with a splash and haven't stopped moving forward since. I can only see Eta Delta continuing to make waves on campus and I look forward to their successes" - Assistant Director of Growth, Zack Ross
"The reinstallation of Eta Delta Chapter is the culmination of decades of effort and dedication, rooted in a legacy dating back to 1971. What began as an idea two years ago has grown into a 40-man brotherhood committed to leadership, impact, and the values that once made our presence so vital on campus. We're proud to say that we're back, and this time we're here to stay." - Chapter President, Nico Rapoza

Through it all, the men of Eta Delta discovered what true brotherhood means, cemented during a powerful candle pass where alumni and undergraduates alike shared vulnerable, formative moments that bonded them beyond their letters. That night was more than symbolic; it was proof that this group had built something lasting. Now, as they prepare for installation, the colony stands united as leaders on campus, trailblazers in business, and brothers in every sense of the word. Installation is not their finish line; it’s their foundation. Theta Chi is back at Babson and this time, it’s here to stay.
Congratulations to the new brothers and Go Beavs! You can follow their exploits via their Instagram or send congratulatory notes to their Chartering President Nico Rapoza.
