The Eta Kappa Chapter hosted a week long G.I. Theta Chi event, benefitting several causes. The week included events such as Pie a Theta Chi, Boot Camp Field Day, and a 5K run. The brothers stayed on the campus commons for 168 hours straight, collecting donations 24/7 and sleeping in a trailer overnight. Due to support from sororities, alumni, parents, and the JMU community, the event raised $1,112 for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, $1,172 for the Wounded Warrior Project, $800 for the Jeff and Lindsey Lewis scholarship, and $285 for hurricane Sandy relief efforts, for a total of over $3,300.
