Brother Christopher Scroggins, Eta Kappa/James Madison 2015, was recently selected to participate in the NO MORE campaign on the JMU Campus.

NO MORE is a campaign to help raise awareness about sexual assault and domestic violence in order to hopefully end both,” said Scroggins. “The NO MORE campaign was done to help jumpstart efforts to once again prevent sexual assault within the JMU community,” he continued.

Scroggins was selected to participate in the NO MORE program because of his previous work with CARE (Campus Assault ResponseE).

“Four other presidents partnered with CARE (Campus Assault ResponsE) to help put on a presentation to hopefully prevent future sexual assaults in the JMU Greek Community. Over 100 fraternity men attended the presentation in which we educated them on the legal definitions of sexual assault, bystander intervention, and small group discussions about how we can find simple solutions to prevent the chances of sexual assault,” said Scroggins. “The four presidents and I are in the works of planning another educational program for the Fall Semester, along with a philanthropy event to help raise money and awareness for survivors of sexual assault,” he added.

Eta Kappa chapter is also planning to participate in the NO MORE campaign.

“As a chapter we plan on co-hosting an event to help raise awareness and to help prevent sexual assault,” said Scroggins. “We are currently in the process of planning what that program would look like and which organization would like to co-host it with us,” he said.
