Last month, we received an e-mail from the Greek Life Graduate Assistant at Edinboro University – home of our Eta Zeta Chapter – regarding two of their recent events on campus:

I wanted to share this picture with you from an event that the Eta Zeta Chapter at Edinboro held last week, with hopes that it might make it onto social media, or at least so your IHQ was aware of the things that the brothers here are doing.

Last week the chapter played against members of the University's Wheelchair Basketball Team (one of seven collegiate wheelchair basketball teams in the nation) for a fundraiser, that the chapter and team split down the middle.  The chapter only lost by 4 points to the team (I forgot the final score), even when the teams switched scores at the half.  The team was greatly appreciative of the fraternity asking them to play, and the brothers learned how difficult it is to play basketball in a wheelchair.  The chapter is now encouraging other Greeks to come out to the team's games this winter and show their support.

Also, this past Sunday, the brothers brought in two speakers from Alcoholics Anonymous who spoke to them about drugs and alcohol and how their lives are better without these substances. A good number of brothers were there and the message was solid and I think many of them were impacted by the speakers.

Just thought I would send along an update of good things.

Interfraternally,

Evan Ditty
