Iota Delta Chapter held its first GI Theta Chi event, April 26, 2013, on the North Campus of Southeastern Louisiana University, in Hammond, La. Proceeds from the event benefitted United Service Organizations, a non-profit organization that provides services that support the United States troops.
Seven teams participated in tug-of-war competitions and an obstacle course. The winners of the tug-of-war competition were Team Alpha Sigma Tau in third place, Team Badass in second place and Team AOII in first place. The winners of the obstacle course race were Phi Mu in third place, Alpha Sigma Tau in second place and Bubba Gump in first place. The overall winners were Team Alpha Sigma Tau in third place, Team AOII in second place and Team Badass in first place.
A total of $3,700 was raised at the event. Iota Delta Chapter is looking forward to holding the event next year.
