This summer, Brother Michal Hoge (Iota Phi/South Carolina 2018), a rising sophomore who pledged Theta Chi last semester, was injured in a freak diving accident that caused major spinal injury leaving Michal paralyzed from the chest down. Michal was in an out of intensive care for several weeks, but is now rehabilitating at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA.

To raise money for their brother’s medical expenses and the Shepherd Center research division, the brothers of Iota Phi will hold a Hope4Hoge Kickball Tournament, Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at the University of South Carolina on the Blatt Fields. The cost to participate is $120 per team and each participant will receive a T-shirt, meal and beverage. Non-participants may attend for $5 and a meal is included at that price. T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the event.

The brothers have also established a gofundme page to raise additional funds for Michal at http://www.gofundme.com/Hope4Hoge
