Theta Chi again has a presence at the University of Cincinnati following the official colonization ceremony that took place on Saturday, June 2. The University of Cincinnati is the home of the former Beta Omicron Chapter, which has been inactive since 2005.

Nine new members formally gave their pledge to the Fraternity at Saturdays ceremony. Kyle Parido, a transfer student from Eta Beta Chapter at Eastern Kentucky University, was also present. Brother Parido is serving as the colonys president and was responsible for the initial proposal to bring Theta Chi back to UC. After speaking with some high school friends about the prospect of starting a new fraternity, they agreed to help and petitioned the International Headquarters soon after.

Darick Brown (Eta Gamma/Morehead State 1989) was the presiding officer. Also present was Eta Beta/Eastern Kentucky Chapter Advisor Robert Leitch and seven representatives from the International Headquarters staff: Executive Director Mike Mayer, Director of Member Services Joel Wendland, Director of Recruitment and Expansion JD Ford, Member Development Intern Eddie Higginbotham, and Leadership and Education Consultants Alex Nunchuck, Matt Gillis and Cory Loveless.
