Although Psi Chapter is best known for their annual 'Ski for Cancer' philanthropy, this fall the brothers decided to try something new in hopes of making an even greater impact on their community. The brothers decided to host major fall philanthropy event. This vision led to the creation of 'Shave for Cancer.'

 'Shave for Cancer,'  an event where 70 brothers raised money for pediatric cancer research, through donations from family and friends, and through fundraisers. At the end of the week, in order to stand in solidarity with the children and families who are fighting this horrible disease, the brothers shaved their heads.

The initial goal of the chapter was to raise $3,500 for pediatric cancer reasearch. Through extraordinary efforts, the brothers were able to raise ten times their goal - a total of just over $35,000.

On November 10, 2013 Psi Chahpter hosted their first ever head shaving event on front lawn of their chapter house with the help local sponsors, Chipotle and Dominos. One of the brothers provided live DJ music during the event, and Bucky Badger also made an appearance. 'Shave for Cancer' was covered by local news stations, The morning before the event, the Psi Chapter appeared on the local ABC morning news show, and one of the brothers had his head shaved on live television.
