On March 8, Paul Meyer, a member of Theta Chi Fraternity’s Beta Alpha Chapter at UCLA, was arrested following a physical altercation with a visitor to the Fraternity house.  Promptly upon being alerted to the altercation, the Chapter’s leadership contacted law enforcement officials and made immediate efforts to halt Meyer’s actions.

The Chapter is working closely with representatives of the University and Theta Chi Fraternity International Headquarters to investigate and respond to the incident.  Theta Chi does not tolerate its members engaging in any forms of violence.

Theta Chi extends its wishes for a speedy recovery to the victim of this altercation.  The Fraternity also commends the members of the Chapter whose immediate notification of law enforcement officials prevented the situation from escalating further.
