The Florida State University Board of Trustees is the 13-member governing board for the University. Brother Allan Bense (Gamma Rho 1972) is the Chair of the Board of Trustees.

The Florida State University Board of Trustees was created in 2001 and sets policy for the institution and serves as the institution's legal owner and governing board. The Board of Trustees is responsible for high quality education and Regulations of the Florida Board of Governors. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the efficient and effective use of the institution’s resources. The FSU Board of Trustees is composed of 13 members. Six members are appointed by the Governor, five members are appointed by the Florida Board of Governors, the Chair of the Faculty Senate and the President of the Student Body.

In addition to Brother Bense, three additional members of Gamma Rho Chapter currently serve on the FSU Board of Trustees, Bob Sasser (1973), Mark Hillis (1964) and Joe Gruters (2001).
