Theta Chi Fraternity has hired William Toothaker (Chi/Auburn 2011) as its new Director of Housing. Brother Toothaker will begin work at the International Headquarters starting Wednesday, Aug. 1.

As Director of Housing, he will support The Norwich Housing Corporation by coordinating the origination and servicing of loans for chapter house purchases, refinancing, new construction, life safety projects, and emergency loans. He will also provide staff support to the business of The Norwich Housing Corporations board of directors.

Brother Toothaker will also support and promote the development and maintenance of safe, quality, and competitive housing for all Theta Chi chapters and serve as a resource to house corporations and chapters in developing housing strategies and best practices for facility operation.

Brother Toothaker was active on Auburn Universitys Interfraternity Council (IFC) as a member of the Judicial Board and with Auburns Office of Greek Life, where he led a project to redevelop Auburns IFC fire and life safety program. The program focuses on member education, residential safety and fire code enforcement for Auburn chapters, members and properties. On the Judicial Board, he helped uphold University policies as they related to IFC member organizations.

Brother Toothaker served his chapter as President from 2010-2011 and Recruitment Chairman from 2007-2009. As President, he oversaw the operations of a 100-man chapter and helped increase Chis overall membership and standing on campus while also ensuring compliance with University and Fraternity policies. When his original 12-month term as President ended, the chapter voted to extend it for another semester.

Brother Toothaker will begin work at the International Headquarters on Wednesday, Aug. 1. He can be reached at wtoothaker@thetachi.org.
