Our brothers change e-mail addresses, jobs and locations all the time.

To keep up with all these changes, Theta Chi is partnering with Harris Connect to produce a new edition of the Theta Chi Alumni Directory.

You may be contacted by e-mail, regular mail or telephone over the next few months to verify and update your contact and career information. Your participation will ensure that our directory information is as accurate as possible.

We know you may still have some questions about this important project. Keep reading to find answers to some of your most frequently asked questions:

What is the Alumni Directory?
The 2012 Alumni Directory will be the most up-to-date and complete reference of Theta Chi's initiated members. This comprehensive volume will include current name and academic information, as well as business, professional, and other information. The edition will list alumni by chapter and by geographic location.

Harris will also create a hardcover version of the directory that members can use to reconnect with old friends and chapter brothers. The directory will only be available to Theta Chi members.

Why are you publishing an Alumni Directory?
The directory will enable brothers to find one another and to keep in touch. In order to create the book, we collect the most accurate and up-to-date information possible from members. This allows us to keep in touch with you and to let you know through future communication what is happening with the Fraternity. The last time Theta Chi published an Alumni Directory was 2005.

Who is Harris Connect?
Harris Connect specializes in alumni and membership publications for non-profit organizations (including fraternities and sororities), as well as schools and colleges, clubs and other associations. Harris has been in the business for over 45 years and works with more than 4,000 nonprofit organizations worldwide.

The postcard I received has a Virginia return address. Why isn't it in Indiana?
Since Harris Connect is working on our behalf, they are managing the collection process from their offices in Virginia.

Will Harris Connect use or sell my information for other purposes?
No. Harris Connect knows the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of our database. Our contract with them explicitly states that, except for purposes related to the publication of our directory, they will not, under any circumstances, make the database available to any third party for any reason.

How do I ensure that I am included in the directory?
By now, you should have received a postcard in the mail or an e-mail from Harris about the project. All you have to do is call their toll-free number at 1-800-786-7583. A service rep will guide you through the rest of the process, including how you can order a hardcover version of the directory for yourself. It is important that you update all of your information to ensure that we get the most accurate data for our database.

I still have a question. Who can I call?
Additional questions can be directed The Foundation Chapter by calling 317-824-1881 or e-mailing foundation@thetachi.org.
