The volunteer spotlight for October highlights Art Krasilovsky , Alpha Tau/ Ohio University 1978.

Art exemplifies the motto of “Theta Chi for Life”.  Immediately after graduation, he agreed to serve on his chapter’s Alumni Corporation.  He has provided stability to that Alumni Corporation for over 20 years by serving in various roles.

Brother Krasilovsky calls volunteering for Theta Chi his “labor of love”. When he moved from Ohio to the Atlanta area he continued his service to the fraternity by searching for new opportunities to help brothers develop into better men.

In 2011, he attended the installation of the Iota Xi chapter at Georgia College & State University and met with then-Regional Counselor Josh Wilson (Delta Kappa/ Ball State 2003) who convinced him to join the colony advisory board (CAB) for the new group at Southern Poly State University. Art and Josh, along with the other members of the CAB, were instrumental in the successful installation of our Iota Rho Chapter last April.

Brother Wilson said of Art, “He always lends a Helping Hand to chapters and alumni, even from afar.  He spends countless hours in chapter meetings, alumni meetings, at weddings or even in hospital rooms...whatever is needed for the greater cause of our brotherhood. Alpha Tau, Iota Rho and several alumnus members are better men because of Art Krasilovsky. He has a George Kilavos-like passion for our brotherhood."

Art currently lives in the Atlanta area with his very supportive wife and works as a manager for The Home Depot. He has two daughters and three grandchildren all living in Cleveland, Ohio.
