The Volunteer Spotlight for July highlights Phillip Burns, Iota Lambda/Longwood 2008.

Earlier this month, Phillip served as lead facilitator for the Epsilon Class of The Initiative Academy.  He had previously volunteered in June assisting the Delta Class of the Initiative Academy. 

Brother Burns’ passion for Theta Chi started in 2007 when he was initiated as a charter member of the Iota Lambda chapter at Longwood University. In college he was also a two-term Student Body President, worked as an Orientation Leader and served on numerous university committees.

After graduation, he traveled for three years as a Leadership and Education Consultant and worked with over 60 different chapters and colonies.  He currently serves as a Counselor in Alabama, helping to recruit and train Alumni to work with chapters.

Brother Burns has received 3 citations of honor, 1 DeVol Award and has been made an honorary member of 17 different Theta Chi Chapters.  

Brother Burns has been an exceptional leader on campus and in the fraternity.  He currently works as an independent contractor for the United States Government.  He lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and is engaged to be married.
