On Nov. 4, 2012, 15 members of Gamma Upsilon Chapter took part in Peoria's First CureSearch Walk. CureSearch, hosted by the Bradley CureSearch Walk Club, is a national non-profit organization that funds and supports children's cancer research. Gamma Upsilon Chapter took part in the walk supporting Brother Kevin Yndestad (2009). Brother Yndestad left Bradley in order to fight his own battle with a brain tumor. Gamma Upsilon's team, along with Theta Chi  brothers at Bradley, chapters around the nation, members of Kevin's Army, as well as Alumnus Brothers and friends, were the third highest fundraising team raising more than $5,000 for CureSearch.
